Party on the Green

Experience the excitement of a 19th century carnival as performers attempt feats of daring and skill! With musicians, theatrical performances and carnival games, this is a celebration not to be missed.

Cheer on 40 new Canadians as they received their citizenship at this beautiful ceremony in our Event Pavilion.

Temporary Exhibit: The Tribute Tour

Discover and delight in quilts inspired by the musician Prince. This special display of 20 x 20 inch quilts from the 2018 Cherrywood Fabric Challenge features 75 of the winning quilts. This exhibit will be on display in the Visitor Centre from Friday July 27 to Sunday July 29. There is an additional $5 admission fee to visit this exhibit. Online ticketing will be available closer to the event. Click here for more information.

We are proud to partner with the The Quilts at the Creek Collective to make this event happen. Check out their blog for more information on workshops, trunk shows and how to enter a quilt into the show.

Harvest Festival

Celebrate the Harvest at Black Creek Pioneer Village!

Take part in family-friendly harvest-themed activities around the village then follow your nose to the Toronto Mennonite Festival centred around the Town Hall Green. This Mennonite and Pennsylvania-German festival is full of delicious foods, so come hungry!

The Toronto Mennonite Festival is run completely by volunteers. The Festival is a fundraiser for Mennonite Central Committee’s work of relief, community development and peacebuilding –- in Ontario, in Canada, and in 60 countries around the world. For more than 50 years the Mennonite Central Committee has raised more than $1.3 million for MCC at Black Creek’s Harvest Festival.

Step into a Christmas wonderland as your senses come alive with the sights and sounds of a Victorian Christmas. With special Christmas activities every Saturday and Sunday,  your family will discover old traditions and perhaps start some new ones of your own!

Visit with Santa at Black Creek Pioneer Village

On weekends in December, stop by Santa’s Cottage to visit with the jolly old elf!

You can also visit with Santa during the magical Christmas by Lamplight events on December 8, 15 and 22 from 6:00 – 9:30 pm.

Horse Drawn Wagon Rides

Jingle Bells! On December weekends enjoy a horse drawn wagon ride around the village from 12:00 – 3:45 pm. Tickets available at the wagon ($2/person).
