Family Christmas Weekends
Dates: Saturdays and Sunday until December 23
Times: 11:00 am – 4:30 pm
Step into a winter wonderland as your senses come alive with the sights and sounds of a Victorian Christmas. Watch a pantomime with our history actors, then tap your toes to holiday tunes as you prepare for a winter ball. Marvel at flaming plum pudding and taste chestnuts roasted on an open fire. Help decorate a Christmas Tree while exploring holiday traditions from around the world. On Saturdays in December, add on a horse-drawn carriage ride or stop by Santa’s cottage for a visit.
Christmas by Lamplight
Dates: Saturday December 7, 14 and 21
Time: 6:00 – 9:00 pm
On Saturday evenings in December the Village is transformed by the glow of lamps and lanterns, flickering candles and cozy fireplaces. Explore at your own pace. Sample festive foods like mulled cider, gingerbread cookies and chestnuts roasted on an open fire. Enjoy seasonal music and performances. Behind every door is something to discover and delight in. Upgrade your ticket to include a Haunted Walk or a traditional Christmas Dinner!
Storytime with Santa
Dates: Saturdays & Sundays December 1-2, 8-9 and 15-16
Times: 11:00 am and 1:00 pm
Have a fun-filled time with Santa and his helpers! Families create a Christmas craft and decorate holiday cookies while warming up with a delicious hot drink in the cozy historic kitchen. Then all gather around Santa’s chair and hear a classic Christmas tale read by the jolly man himself! This is pre-ticketed event; book early to avoid disappointment.
Sunday Christmas Dinners
Dates: Sunday December 1, 8, 15 and 22
Times: 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm
Head to the Half Way House Inn to enjoy a traditional three-course Christmas dinner of roasted turkey with all the fixings. Vegetarian options also available! Venture out into the Village for a day of Christmas activities. It’s a perfect way to celebrate traditions old and new.
