the Village at Black Creek is without question one of the most active sites we tour. For years, our curious ghost tour guests have asked us for a more in-depth experience to explore the haunted side of this amazing property.
Join us for a spine-chilling, once-in-a-lifetime paranormal adventure, where intimate groups of 12 or fewer will have exclusive access to investigate haunted heritage buildings on site – in the dark! Including the notorious Half Way House, known to harbour untold secrets and restless spirits.
As the moon rises high and shadows grow long, we’ll delve into the mysteries of the supernatural world, seeking to connect with the Village’s lingering inhabitants. Will any of them answer? Each group will have a unique and unpredictable experience while investigating.
Alone in the Dark – The Village at Black Creek is an unforgettably eerie evening that will delight ghost story enthusiasts, fearless paranormal investigators, history aficionados, urban explorers, and anyone with a curiosity about the unknown.

Stopping in the sleepy village of Black Creek for a night’s rest, you and your fellow travelers find yourselves trapped as ancient evil stirs. Black Creek is surely doomed – unless you can lift the curse!
Now it’s up to you to save the cursed villagers, discover the great incantation, and stop the evil from rising before the final bell tolls. Guided only by your wit and your lantern, do you have what it takes to journey where dark things dwell?
Where Dark Things Dwell is played in teams of four.

Participate in a Village wide Escape Game, Where Dark Things Dwell or join a spine-tingling tour with Haunted Walks then book a private space to celebrate with friends.
@ Bolton’s Backyard:
outdoor patio style with colourful picnic tables, patio lights and fun tavern style games like Giant Tumbling Tower, Hooks & Rings and Cornhole.
- Can accommodate 10 – 25 people (Adults or kids 12+ with adult supervision)
- Bookings are for 1.5 hours pre or post activity, available Thursdays through Saturdays, 4:30pm – 10:30pm
- Bring your own food (or order from Snack Shack – minimums required)
- No alcohol allowed
- Rain back up – Student Assembly – indoor space, long communal tables with chairs
Space Rental Cost (does not include event tickets):
- $195 +HST for up to 15 people
- $235 + HST for 16 – 25 people

Details:
- A staff will greet you and escort your group to the party space and direct where to meet for your activity.
- Parking is not included and can be paid for upon exiting the lot.
- All garbage must be put away in the bins provided. Site must be left the same as found.
- Snack Shack offers stone baked pizzas, Bavarian pretzels, nachos and cheese sauce, mini carnival donuts, slushies, iced caps, mini pancakes and more. Minimum of $350 spend.
