Molly’s Story

EPILOGUE

Irish-Canadian politician Thomas D’Arcy McGee gets assassinated in 1868 by an alleged Fenian. Like many Irish-Canadians, Molly embraces Canada after that.

Tough and smart, she helps Catholic charities get new Canadians settled—other Catholics from Italy and Eastern Europe. That’s a lot of arrivals after Confederation!

Molly Foley is a fictional character but was inspired by the stories of real people just like her!
